Work continues on the rehabilitation of the Incense Route through the heart of AlUla's old town, for the Royal Commission for AlUla.
AlUla held a strategic position on the ancient trade network that carried frankincense, spices and gold across thousands of kilometres between southern Arabia and the Levant. Under Nabataean rule the city flourished as a centre of trade and culture.
The project transforms the route into an immersive and interactive visitor experience while preserving the legacy of one of the world's most ancient trade corridors. It sits alongside MCG's other Saudi heritage work at Beit Zainal and Bab Al-Bunt in Historic Jeddah and the East Al-Fouta palaces in Riyadh.
