Saint Catherine Airport

The Saint Catherine Airport development project includes the comprehensive development of the airport and the construction of a passenger building in accordance with the requirements of ICAO, IATA and Civil Aviation Authority legislation, to achieve a capacity of 600 passengers per hour while preserving all the architectural elements that reflect the heritage nature of the place.

The development also covers the airfield to suit the needs of class 4C aircraft according to the ECAR classification, and includes a runway of 2,600 m in length — an extension of the existing runway or the development of a new one — together with turn pads, subsidiary lanes and communication roads, in addition to a new apron sufficient for 4C code aircraft with a Taxi-in Taxi-out operating system.

Development work on the air side includes the use of the latest lighting and control systems, flood protection works and rain drainage systems.
