Banque Misr Head Quarter

The main branch of Banque Misr is the first bank branch established in Egypt, founded by the leader Talaat Harb Pasha in 1920. The building is distinguished by a unique architectural style, which was taken into account during the design process.

The first phase of developing the branch covers the ground floor, mezzanine, basement, roof and external façades. The proposed design idea aims to reuse some of the internal spaces without affecting the current use of the branch.

The design creates spaces that benefit the bank: exploiting the main lobby to display some of the museum's principal pieces and creating halls to serve VIP individuals and companies; increasing the museum display area with the latest display technologies, interactive vitrines and technology for presenting artefacts; a large meeting hall equipped with the latest technology on the first floor; various administrative spaces; and retaining the offices of the bank chairman and deputies with furnishings suited to a classical taste and the latest technology in each space.
