Gaza Reconstruction Programme

The Gaza reconstruction project includes several stages. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced a 500 million US dollar grant to support the reconstruction of Gaza.

The first phase includes the removal of debris, which was completed in 65 days, with 85,000 cubic metres of rubble lifted.

The second phase includes six projects, most notably the development of the corniche waterfront in northern Gaza, which has been initiated with equipment arriving and excavation and filling work carried out. There is also the establishment of residential communities called Dar Misr throughout the Gaza Strip. This phase includes the development of important intersections at Shujaiya Square and Saraya by establishing two bridges to solve bottlenecks in the two areas.
