Benban Solar Complex

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the Benban Solar Transformer Station, at a voltage of 500-220-22 kV, in the presence of the Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and the Minister of Electricity Dr. Mohamed Shaker.

The Benban Solar Energy Complex is one of the largest solar power plants in the world. It was built in partnership with the private sector and specialised international expertise, and is also one of the most important infrastructure projects in Egypt for generating electricity from new and renewable energy.
