King Farouk Rest House

The Inshas rest house was among King Farouk's favourite places. He frequently travelled there, whether accompanied by Queen Farida or by the royal entourage.

Located on the land of Sharqia in the village of Basateen Inshas, in the district of Belbeis, the palace was chosen as the venue for signing the charter of the League of Arab States on 28 May 1946. The charter was signed by seven Arab countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Yemen.
